GLUTATHIONE

Glutathione is a tripeptide molecule composed of three amino acids: glycine, glutamic acid, and cysteine.
It is the most powerful antioxidant in the human body and is found in almost every cell. Glutathione exists in two forms: oxidized (GSSG) and reduced (GSH). L-glutathione (GSH) refers to the reduced, active form in the body. It protects cells from the harmful effects of free radicals and prevents the effects of oxidative stress.

Free radicals are unstable molecules that damage cells and contribute to various diseases and aging processes. Glutathione neutralizes these molecules and plays an important role in detoxifying the body by binding and removing toxins and heavy metals from the body.

Regarding the skin, glutathione effectively reduces the level of melanin in cells, removes pigmentation, and prevents the appearance of new pigmented spots. It improves the stability of vitamin C by creating a complete cycle that supports the full regeneration of the vitamin C molecule. Additionally, glutathione is rich in amino acids, promoting skin rejuvenation, smoothing wrinkles, improving tone and texture, and delaying the aging process.

Last but not least, glutathione participates in protein synthesis and the production of invaluable T-cells responsible for immunity. Sufficient glutathione levels in the body can delay aging and create conditions for radiant, even-toned, and more elastic skin. Glutathione levels can be influenced by various factors, including age, stress, diet, and certain medical conditions.

Glutathione can be taken in the form of dietary supplements or foods containing its beneficial amino acids to maintain good health and a fresh appearance of the skin. However, the effectiveness and absorption of oral glutathione supplements may vary, and it is always advisable to consult a medical professional before starting a supplement regimen.

In addition to oral intake and the use of glutathione-rich cosmetics, its deficiency can be easily compensated for through intravenous therapy for better and faster absorption by the body.
